When Columbia University needed to streamline their faculty housing design process, they selected Domoarchitecture to create a residential design showroom for their real estate portfolio. 

The challenge: help incoming faculty visualize and select finishes, layouts, and design details for their university-provided residences—without the usual back-and-forth of custom design consultations. 

We developed a comprehensive showroom featuring curated design concepts and detailed specifications that faculty could tour, evaluate, and select from. Each option was fully specified and ready for implementation, turning what’s typically a months-long design process into efficient decision-making. 

The result: Columbia gained a scalable system for delivering high-quality faculty housing while giving professors the customization they expect. Future residents get designer-quality homes without the designer timeline or cost.
